Nepal Women’s Cricket Team Tour to India 2025 | Full Squad and Fixtures Announced
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has officially announced the Nepal women’s cricket team squad and tour schedule for their upcoming preparatory series in India. The series aims to give the team valuable match experience and exposure against strong Indian domestic sides ahead of their future international commitments.
This will be Nepal’s first outing since their thrilling T20I series win over Malaysia, which they clinched 3–2. Captain Indu Barma played a key role with the bat, scoring 117 runs in five innings at an impressive average of 58.50, while pacer Kabita Kunwar was outstanding with the ball, taking nine wickets in four matches at an average of 4.88.
Earlier this year, Nepal also performed well in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, finishing second in the Super Three stage with three wins from six games.
During the upcoming India tour, Nepal will take on Rajasthan, Bengal, and Uttarakhand (CAU) — each side twice — providing a great opportunity for the players to test their abilities in different conditions. The matches will be played across one week, allowing the team to fine-tune their strategy and experiment with combinations.
Leading the team will be Indu Barma, one of Nepal’s most experienced and consistent all-rounders. She has accumulated 1,041 runs from 41 innings and has also contributed effectively with the ball, claiming 40 wickets in 46 innings. Her best bowling figures stand at 3 for 5, with an economy rate of 4.53 and a bowling average of 15.45. Barma’s leadership and all-round performance will be crucial as Nepal aims to make a strong impression on Indian soil.
The preparatory series will not only help the team build momentum but also enhance their confidence and match fitness as they prepare for upcoming international challenges.
